My government name is Samantha Chase, but most people call me Slam (it's a nickname from my college years.)

I grew up as a latchkey kid in Arkansas and seven years ago I moved out to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams of working in the entertainment industry. (Ohhh Ahhh) 

I have always known that I would be successful in LA (perhaps I'm a self proclaimed clairvoyant.) So I followed my skill set of being a production personnel working on a variety of sets from independent films to TV shows and commercials as everything from a PA to 2nd AD, but at the end of 2019 I realized that I wasn't being creatively fulfilled.

 

Lucky for me the pandemic happened! (Yes I know it is a very unfortunate worldwide situation that we are still going through) but it gave me the opportunity to stop and reevaluate my career, and that's when I discovered my true dream of being a TV writer and one day a showrunner. 

 

I love being a student, saying "I don't know anything", sitting in silence, talking nonstop about my recent obsession, and working with a team. 

 

My hobbies include consuming drag queen content, playing video games where I get to act as god, watching animation/cartoons and anime, reading manga and graphic novels, watching/playing D&D, and taking care of my two beautiful cats and bearded dragon! Oh and not spending as much time outside as I should, because let's be real I'm a homebody.
